Filial Piety Sunday

haha...
today is filial piety sunday at my church.
where we,as saints give thanks to God for our parents.
so,as usual,i was quite scared because everyone was going up in groups,and i seemed to be the onli one who will be going up alone.
BUT,it doesn't seem to be so...........

Jerry went up with me.
we planned to do a 搞笑 sharing.
so what did we do?
one will share in chinese and the other will interpret in english.!!!
it was a great task for me.
cos firstly,Jerry had interpreted for mu shi before at prayer meet and had prayed in chinese before
and i was the onli one who onli prayed in english and i can say that im not very proficient in the usage of the chinese language.

BUT,I WAS WRONG!

THANKS BE TO GOD,who had helped me to overcome this barrier and had helped me to interpret for Jerry quite well.(with a few words which i dunno how to interpret and had to ask Jerry:P) Otherwise,the brothers and sisters said that i did quite well with the interpretation. Pei Jun Jie even said that i could be the next interpreter!
hahas...but i believe if God had given me the gift of interpreting,He will use me in time to come.:)

Sharing wise was also ok.i think that it was not bad(the ONLY drawback:my parents were not there...hais...)

i do pray that my parents can attend the filial piety sunday next year and can see their son share and thank them.Amen.

1st Jump!

its finally ok le!
i did my 1st ever jump and i landed safely!
(for your info,jump means parachute jump)
i realized the scary part was not jumping out of the aircraft but its the part where one stands at the door getting ready to exit..
when u look down,its like looking at the TV where the cameraman films the Red Lions jump on National Day!
Its thrilling!

And when u jump out,u just dun care about anything le~
just jump la!
hahas...
but its a nice experience!
now looking towards my 2nd jump!
and after my 3rd jump,i will be donning on the airborne badge on my No.4 uniform!!!

BMT Days.

So long nvr come here le...
feels so distant cos the last post is in jan...
now is april...
so fast...i POPed, Edgar is in NDU now and undergoing training,I going for my Basic Airborne Course(BAC)which is not easy cos I have to jump out of a completely functional airplane with the confidence that my parachute can open...
haha...

the BMT days were so fun...
push ups,sing songs while marching,Ray Rien's macho voice,the running here and there,the drawing of our 'wives' to clean and polish and oil,etc.....................
so many fond memories!!!!
certainly miss my BMT PL 1 mates...
now that we are in different and attending different things at the same time,and the memories are still there...
im sure that these are the fondest memories of my BMT life cos they are the ones who suffered,enjoyed,and have shed blood and sweat with me.

I will always remember them

2 weeks of BMT in Pasir Ris Camp is no joke. It may seem tiring la,but at least I had grown stronger and fitter. It is quite surprising that im able to adapt well to the environment fast and also that i can be able to adapt to military life. maybe bcos i had been in scouts once,so i get to taste how discipline is like.but its a pity i cant take photos bcos of security reasons.But the training was fun and tough.i had both strict and nice instructors who can joke with us. hahas. sometimes it feels like NS is not such a bad thing after all.

after 2 weeks(to be exact,15 days),i finally get to relieve myself of the training bcos im booking out!! we all were excited cos it was our 1st book out. and when the bus came and took us to Pasir Ris MRT station,we all cheered like we all ORD like that...
haha. but come to think of it,its nice that we are going to see each other again and get to talk to each other about the things that happened at new year! and the most important thing is, i can get to know more brothers in Christ and be able to be a good testimony in the camp and be able to let others to see Christ in me! and i just wanna pray that i can continue to be able to reflect Him in my life and be able to lead others to Him! May all glory be to Him in the highest! Amen!

hope that i wont eat too much bcos im undergoing training again when i get back tmr!hahassss.....

18th December! The day has finally arrived! Our last concert and final concert! Ms Wee's last concert also!

18th December...
The day I somehow wished would not arrive...
But it did...
That would be the day where it would be the last concert for me,Meiling,Asrida,Hendra and Hajar...and also Ms Wee...
It was a day that I wished would never arrive...
BUT it was a day full of laughter rather than sadness...

When we arrived at the AKE room for the last time that morning,we were all geared up for Hendra's surprise:His 20th birthday!

Haha...we had our last practice(for the senior citizens) and rehearsal(for senior citizens and present AKE members). Aunty Wee told us to just enjoy the music and we did!

Then we had lunch,whereby I had no appetite,but Meiling was sweet enough to buy me some finger food and let me eat.Really touched by her sweet gesture.I eventually finished a portion of it on the bus,and the rest at night.(Ms Alicia also didn't eat,so i gave her an egg tart).

Then we all boarded the bus and went to RP.None of us talked about the phrase'Last performance for the seniors and Ms Wee.' We all were engaged in our own little conversations and I dare to say that we were not sad at all. Hahas...Maybe we were all trying to hide or we were really forgetting that it's the last performance!

Then we were at the dressing room getting ready! And I felt like a superstar,reason being very simple:Every Year 1 and 2 wanted to take picture!

Then we were on!

After the concert,we took the bus back to school and we reached school at about 11 something. We were bushed but we were hyper(very contradictory). Hahas...

Eventually,me and Meiling took her dad's car back to my house 1st before they went back home.

We are like a family,practicing and eating and talking to Ms Wee!
To the Year 1s, it's fun to rehearse with all of you and I'm sure that you all will remember us when we come back to collect our results next year(even though I'm botak).

Year 2s, I'm grateful and encouraged to see everyone taking on their role seriously,especially Wei Siang. Hahas...We seniorS LOVE YOU!

Finally to Ms Angeline Wee:AKE LOVE YOU! WE WISH YOU ALL THE BEST AND WE WILL REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS! SEE YOU AT THE AIRPORT ON 4TH JAN 2009 AND 4TH JAN 2010(if your flight is that accurate la).

MUM,I LOVE YOU AND HOPE THAT YOU WILL NOT FORGET THAT YOU HAVE ANOTHER SON WAITING FOR YOU IN SINGAPORE!我爱你!!!

Graduation High Tea for Millennians!

The graduation high tea for Millennians was absolutely a blast!

So much laughter,chattering(especially when the whole 2008 cohort is in a huge ballroom at OCC(Orchid Country Club) and there were lots of echoes from the loud sounds),and the flashes practically never stopped as everyone was trying to take photos with everyone else! The guys especially,were concerned with each other's enlistment details.

Show has started! I couldn't remember the first programme because I was going to line up at one corner with the recipients to receive our CCA service awards. ya.. and the good thing is....Meiling also received the award!!! Hahas... I don't why I feel so happy that she is also getting the award.Probably is the fact that we are church mates and in the same CCA bahx...

Then is the thing that I (and probably most of the students who had not had their breakfast and lunch) have been waiting for: The reception!!! There were lots of good food, better than GT Food Supply food(only teachers and students in Millennia Institute will understand) and since we (06S4) were closest to the reception tables,we all get the 'honour' of being the first to eat! Then some of my friends piled food on a small plate and Edgar said that they don't know how to plan for the future.(This may mean to leave some for the others,but I think he means that we can have a second helping if we want to later on when we finished eating!).Hahas...

Then we had this game called 'Table Games'.We were supposed to guess who the teacher is from their baby photos! How?! But we can! Because some of them were easy! Hahas...
Some of us literally LOL on the spot when the teachers' names were announced!

Then we all waited for Kevindev to deliver his speech! When his name were announced, the whole class stood up to applauded for him. Hahas...We must have been a sight in the ballroom! Then the award presenting for the sports CCA were held and when Vanessa's name were called,the whole class stood for her!(again) and we were,ya,considered crazy at that time...

Then came a very special event:Mr Toh,together with two other female teachers,sang a song,with himself playing on the piano!Nice Song and we all were touched!

Then the finale:All the teachers went up to the stage to sing a song for us!Touched!(again) and some of us,even the guys,wept!

Then a video showing all our teachers' feelings and blessings for us and wishing us luck in the upcoming A levels! Touched again! Some of the girls were practically crying le...

And then the sad news:our beloved teacher,Mr Ivan Lim, will be posted to PJC! We were all sad, and gasps were heard around the ballroom! But we still applauded for him,especially when he went on stage to receive the token of appreciation! Every student in the ballroom,teachers included,stood up from their seats and clapped for a long time!
Of course,the friendly,strict discipline master of the school,who teaches GP and never fails to talk about things that are obscene and brings across GP concepts in a funny and obscene way(I had been taught by him in Year 1,and the class laughed throughout the year,and we still managed to pass our GP!But we were sad because no one could be so funny and strict at the same time!

Then we all were taking photos with one another,with the class or in groups! And as I was saying,there were a lot of flashes around,and the photos below can explain that! Because we took photos with our classmates and everyone that we knew!~

Enlisting into Pasir Ris camp!

Finally received my long awaited enlistment letter!

Got into Pasir Ris camp, which is a commando camp...may be posted to Hendon Camp after BMT over there...

Recent reports of army men dying... Actually to tell u the truth... I'm a bit scared...Because the training is completely different...

Also happy for Edgar... Got into National Diving Unit(NDU) which is a navy unit...

I'm enlisting on 09/01/2009...Think I'm the 1st one to enlist into the army... Edgar enlisting in march...

Meanwhile,Just have to make sure my revision is in order and may I glorify God in my army life...
